Youfit has a reputation for being hard to cancel — so do it the way that actually sticks: in writing, with proof. Here's how, plus a ready-to-send letter.
Enter your details below to receive your personalised cancellation letter by email.
Phone and email listed here are for general questions — to cancel, use the method in the first row above.
You'll need your name as on the agreement, your member number, and your home club.
At the club, fill out the cancellation request form and pay anything owed. Can't go in? Write out the request and send it certified mail to your home club. Don't rely on phone or email — Youfit's policy says those aren't accepted.
Youfit's cancellation policy states 10 days' notice, but its Terms reference 30 — give 30 days to be safe, and expect any payment due in that window to still process.
Youfit says staff can't complete a cancellation until any balance is paid — so clear it and get written confirmation the membership has ended.
Save the form copy, certified-mail receipt and confirmation. Billing runs through ABC Fitness — check 2–3 cycles and dispute any charge after your end date.
Youfit has a long paper trail: a 2016 consent order with the Florida Attorney General over billing and collections practices, a 2020 Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a BBB rating of "F," and a 2024 class-action lawsuit alleging a member was billed for years after cancelling in person and receiving written confirmation. Translation: cancel in writing, settle your balance, keep every receipt and confirmation, and dispute wrongful charges with your bank promptly.
Not reliably. Youfit advertises a phone line, an email and an online cancel form, but its official cancellation policy says it won't accept fax, email or phone requests — and the online form is currently a non-functional placeholder. The methods that actually stick are in person at your club or by certified mail, both with proof.
This is Youfit's single biggest complaint — a 2024 class action alleges billing continued for years after a member cancelled and got written confirmation. Keep your cancellation-form copy, certified-mail receipt and confirmation, and dispute any charge after your end date with your bank.
Month-to-month members pay up to a $10 processing fee. A fixed-term agreement carries an early-termination fee (varies by agreement). All cancellation fees are waived with written proof of military deployment or a qualifying medical reason.
