Every Retro Fitness is independently owned, so the fine print varies — but written notice always works. Here's how, plus a ready-to-send letter.
Enter your details below to receive your personalised cancellation letter by email.
Retro is franchised — confirm your home club's exact policy and grab your Member ID.
Give written notice (7 days, or 3 in NY). Generate one above in seconds.
Hand it to the manager for a signed copy, or send certified mail with return receipt to the club.
Save the receipt/signed copy and request written confirmation of the end date.
Check 2–3 cycles. If a club won't honor a valid cancellation, dispute with your bank using your proof.
Not reliably. There's no universal online cancel portal, and while some clubs list phone/email as accepted, others refuse them and require in-person or mail. Certified mail to your home club is the safe route.
It's the #1 complaint (150+ BBB cases). Without a paper trail, clubs may keep billing. Always use certified mail with return receipt, keep it, and dispute any wrongful charge with your bank.
Month-to-month (Flex/Ultimate) members just serve the notice period. Core (12-month) members generally owe the remaining term unless a move, medical reason, or the 3-day right-to-cancel applies.
