How to Cancel Your Blink Fitness Membership

Blink is moving under PureGym, but the cancellation rules still hold: written notice, in writing. Here's how, plus a ready-to-send letter.

MethodCancel Blink by certified mail to Blink Member Services in New York, or in person at your club — keep your receipt and any confirmation. Blink is merging into PureGym, so if a Blink channel doesn't respond, look for the PureGym US equivalent.
Notice & feesNotice is 45 days — longer than most gyms — so send it early and expect one to two more charges. Legacy plans carry a cancellation fee of about $60 (NY/NJ) or $50 (PA). There's also an annual fee (~$59.99) once a year — time your cancellation so it doesn't hit right before you leave.
Free exitBlink typically lets you cancel without the usual penalty if you move more than 25 miles from any Blink location, with proof of your new address. A documented medical reason may also qualify — include it with your written notice.

Step by step

How to cancel your Blink Fitness membership

1

Gather your details

You'll need your name as on the contract, your member number, and your home club.

2

Send written notice

Certified mail to Blink Member Services, 386 Park Avenue South, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10016, or cancel in person at your club. Generate the letter above.

3

Count on 45 days

Blink's notice period is 45 days — longer than most — so you'll likely see one to two more charges. Send early.

4

Settle fees

Pay any cancellation fee ($60 in NY/NJ, $50 in PA on legacy plans) and the annual fee if it's due, then request written confirmation.

5

Watch your statements

Check 2–3 billing cycles and dispute any charge after your cancellation takes effect.

Heads up: Blink is becoming PureGym

PureGym acquired Blink Fitness in 2024 and is rebranding U.S. clubs to PureGym. Your existing agreement and cancellation terms still apply during the transition, but the website, app and member-services contact may redirect to PureGym — if a Blink channel doesn't respond, look for the PureGym US equivalent and keep your certified-mail proof either way.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you cancel a Blink Fitness membership online?

Online cancellation is limited and inconsistent — the reliable routes are certified mail to Blink Member Services (386 Park Avenue South, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10016) or cancelling in person at your club. With the PureGym transition, always keep written proof of your request.

Why is Blink's notice period so long?

Blink uses a 45-day written-notice window, longer than the typical 30 days. Because of that, submit your cancellation as early as possible — you'll usually be billed through the notice period.

Will I have to pay a fee?

Legacy plans have a cancellation fee (about $60 in NY/NJ, $50 in PA). Check your agreement, and be aware the ~$59.99 annual fee can bill separately.
